Across the 5 businesses that publish a single-session price in baht, prices run from ฿800 to ฿2,400, and the median is ฿1,450. The lowest per-session price we found is ฿710, at Fitness First Thailand, on its largest package.

How packages change the price

Nearly everyone sells packages, and the discount is real: at Fitness First an entry-level coach costs ฿1,350 for one session but ฿800 each in a 10-pack and ฿710 each in a 50-pack (Value plan, 2023 price sheet). FlexiFit drops from ฿1,500 to ฿1,200 per session between its 10- and 36-session packages.

What the discount doesn't show:

  • Expiry. Packages usually have to be used within a set time (FlexiFit: 10 sessions in 2 months, 36 in 5 months). Miss sessions and the real price per session goes up. Some trainers sell sessions that never expire, such as Fit With Gopal.
  • Lock-in. A 50-session package at two sessions a week is six months of commitment to one trainer. Ask what happens if the trainer leaves the gym, if you move, or if you get injured.
  • Pausing costs. Some gyms charge to freeze a course, for example ฿500 per 30 days at FITFAC.

What a trial session costs

Hidden costs to ask about

  • Gym membership. Chain gyms sell PT to members only, so add the monthly fee to every session.
  • Gym entry for outside trainers. If an independent trainer takes you to a gym, you may pay a day pass (for example ฿500 at UnReal Gym). Many commercial gyms don't allow outside trainers at all.
  • Condo rules. Some condos don't allow outside trainers in the residents' gym; others require registration or a fee. Ask your juristic office first.
  • Travel fees. Mobile trainers may charge extra outside central Bangkok (FlexiFit: +฿200 per session).
  • Extras. Body scans, nutrition plans, and supplements someone tries to sell you. Ask what's included before you pay.

What it costs per month

There are about 4.3 weeks in a month. Twice a week at ฿1,450 comes to about ฿12,500 a month; three times a week at ฿1,200 is about ฿15,600. The cost calculator runs these numbers for any trainer type, including membership and travel fees.

What's a fair price, and what's a rip-off?

  • Around ฿800–1,500 per hour is normal for a qualified trainer in Bangkok. ฿1,500–2,500 is typical for experienced independents and private studios. Paying more should buy you something specific: a physio-integrated programme, a specialist, or a well-known coach.
  • Compare the price per minute. Some studios sell 25- or 30-minute sessions, so a 30-minute session at ฿900 costs the same per minute as an hour at ฿1,800.
  • Be wary of a steep discount that only lasts "today", pressure to prepay 30+ sessions at the first meeting, or refund terms that aren't in writing.
