How this directory works
Personal Trainer Bangkok is an independent guide for people hiring a trainer in Bangkok. It lists 37 trainers, studios and gyms using only public information from their own channels and Google Maps, with a source and a last-checked date for every fact.
Updated
Who's behind it
The site is written and maintained by Personal Trainer Bangkok editorial team. We don't sell training, take commissions on bookings, or accept payment for listings. If that ever changes, paid placements will be labelled "Sponsored" and kept separate from the editorial list. They will never change the order of editorial results.
Where the facts come from
- The business's own channels: its website, published price sheets, Instagram, Facebook or LINE official account. Prices, trials, credentials, specialties and languages come from here, and we treat them as what the business says about itself.
- Google Maps: address, coordinates, category, rating and review count. We show ratings as "Google Maps rating X from N reviews" with the date we checked, and link to the listing so you can read the reviews yourself.
- OpenStreetMap: BTS, MRT and Airport Rail Link station positions, used to calculate the nearest station and straight-line distances.
We never invent or estimate a price, credential or review. If something isn't published, the profile says "Not published" and suggests what to ask. Today 11 of 37 businesses publish any price.
How we track trust in each fact
Internally, every field on every listing has a status, a source link and a checked date:
- Verified: confirmed by an independent public source, such as the Google Maps listing for an address.
- Self-reported: stated by the business on its own channels. Most prices and credentials are in this group.
- Unverified: inferred or unconfirmed, for example a Google Maps category the business hasn't confirmed. We phrase these cautiously on the page.
We don't check individual trainers' certificate numbers unless a trainer claims their listing and shows us. That's why the certifications guide explains how to verify one yourself in five minutes.
Who gets listed
Businesses and trainers in Bangkok that offer one-to-one training to the public and have enough public information to be useful: at minimum a Google Maps listing or a website with a way to contact them. We started with the businesses most visible to people searching in English and Thai, and are adding more. Missing someone good? Tell us.
How listings are ordered
By default, businesses that publish more of what buyers need to decide (price, trial, languages, credentials, cancellation policy and so on) come first, then by the number of Google Maps reviews. This rewards transparency, not advertising. The station search orders by distance, and the match quiz explains every point it awards.
How often we re-check
The whole dataset was last checked on . We aim to re-check every listing at least every three months, and prices sooner when a business tells us they've changed. Each profile shows its own last-checked date.
Corrections, claims and removals
Trainers can claim their listing, correct it or ask for removal on the for-trainers page. Anyone can report an error through the contact form. We fix factual errors quickly and note the date.
What this site isn't
We're not a booking platform, and we don't give medical or legal advice. Exercise carries risk. Check with a doctor before starting if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or are returning from injury.
